Primary Function

Used to deliver known volumes of a liquid, especially in titrations. It features a stopcock at the bottom to carefully control the flow drop-by-drop.

Standard Procedure

• Rinse with the solution to be used.
• Fill above the zero mark and open stopcock to clear air bubbles from the tip.
• Read initial volume at the bottom of the meniscus at eye level.
• Dispense liquid, then read final volume. Volume delivered = Final - Initial.

Handling & Warnings

Always ensure the tip is completely filled with liquid and contains no air bubbles before starting a titration, as this will cause volume errors.
