Nascent Hydrogen
Produced in situ, it is much more reactive than ordinary H₂. Often used for reductions that standard dihydrogen cannot perform.
Water Hardness
Temporary: Ca/Mg Bicarbonates. Removed by boiling or Clark's process (Lime).
Permanent: Ca/Mg Chlorides/Sulphates. Removed by Calgon's or Permutit process.
